Under the Motto “Nature – Insects – Sustainability,” our popular Kids Day took place for the fifth time on the afternoon of Friday, May 23, 2025 – and for the first time outdoors!
In perfect weather, around 50 employees’ children aged 4 to 13 enjoyed an afternoon full of creativity, movement, and hands-on activities.
After a warm welcome, the three groups set off to explore the following stations:
Together with the children, a large insect hotel was prepared and filled with various natural materials. In the crafting and decoration corner, the kids created decorations for the new insect hotel – including tin can bees and painted stones. We’re excited to see many tiny creatures enjoying their new home on the myonic grounds!
Guided by the educators from our partner kindergarten, the children had a blast outdoors with group games, a quiz, and activities like tin can throwing (“bee toss”), an ant obstacle course, and a memory treasure hunt in the meadow!
A special highlight was building their own mini insect hotel to take home! In the training workshop, the children labeled, filled, and decorated their insect hotel blanks in the myonic style – a great way to support biodiversity at home as well.
To top it all off, there was pizza and ice cream for everyone – and lots of happy faces!
