Humana Military offers webinars and community groups to help improve your quality of life. These are both for beneficiaries. Each session covers diabetes, asthma, depression, or anxiety.
The webinars and online community groups occur monthly. They each last one hour. Both provide education and support on a variety of topics. All event times are in Eastern Time. Both are free to attend, but you must register. You need a computer or wireless device to attend. This includes phones and tablets with internet and audio connection.
In community groups, medical staff host the virtual sessions and guide the conversation. You can share your successes and struggles with your health. These include exercise, nutrition, self-management, and coping tools. Participants can also attend and listen if they prefer. Recent sessions covered:
- Diabetes and travel
- Understanding anxiety
- Relaxation strategies
- Connections between depression, anxiety, alcohol, and tobacco
In webinars, medical professionals discuss the day’s topic and answer questions. Note that attendees must maintain confidentiality of what’s disclosed.
