Product Manager, Utility

Sean joined our team early in 2023 and has already made a large impact. He is known for his commitment to bringing the voice of customers into the organization, as he helps us continue to improve and innovate our product lines for them.

We asked him our list of favorite getting-to-know-you questions!

What roles had you previously held (whether at DENTALEZ or another company) that helped you learn specific things for your position today?

I’ve had 10+ years of experience in several roles, between the automotive and medical device industries. Working across different phases and functions in the new product development process has given me an appreciation of the importance of both understanding the market along with the technical requirements of your product.

Similar to a product manager, my experience as a New Product Development project manager has especially highlighted the importance of building internal & external relationships, establishing requirements, and clarifying roles to achieve business goals.

What do you like about working in the dental industry?

What I enjoy working in dental is how our products can improve outcomes for patients and clinicians. Specific to the utility side, it’s motivating to provide products that reliably and consistently deliver performance so the clinicians can focus on the needs of their patients.

What’s your favorite aspect of your job?

Merging the external and internal aspects together. Bringing the voice of the customer into the organization to drive our long-term development strategy and working cross-functionally with so many different associates to meet those needs – that’s an exciting and rewarding challenge.

What’s your favorite DENTALEZ product and why?

The Ramvac Vacuums with Aeras Intel. It’s great to see us take a product with solid performance and add all the Aeras capabilities that the users can leverage.

Thanks, Sean for all you do!
