Using sports as the foundation for health and education, Special Olympics is fighting intolerance. These people with intellectual disabilities become accepted and valued members of their communities, which leads to a more respectful and inclusive society for all.

Special Olympics is still the largest sports organization in the world serving over 4.2 million people with intellectual disabilities worldwide. And sports are still the core of what we do. But, our athletes inspire us to continue to evolve as an organization as they tell us their stories and share their dreams for the future. Today we use sports as a catalyst to help enhance the growth for all people who participate and compete with Special Olympics.
